13. What is the best way to use Upgrade Points?
13.1 In order to improve your ship and/or equipment, you can go to the 'workshop'. On the bottom left of the screen when you are on the main screen, click 'Fleet', then click the workshop button in the middle. There are three types of upgrades:
- +1 upgrade points
- +10 upgrade points
- +100 upgrade points
13.2 Upgrades are arranged as follows - the first 3 "upgrade points" out of 10 are upgraded with a 100% chance of success. Then the chance decreases to 60% and drops with each successive cell until it reaches a 5% chance of success on the last one. It takes an average of 40-60 points per upgrade strip. For best use of upgrade points, try to improve the first 3 tiles using 1 upgrade point, then it's easier to improve in a "pack" of 10 or even 100 if you can. This method will save you time and possibly spend fewer upgrade points. 13.3 Clicking the 10 or 100 upgrade points button will not over-spend your points if you've reached the maximum level.
