1. How do I view the player table in battle?
The battle table can be viewed by clicking on the timer at the top centre. All players, in their respective teams, the sum of their damage and the number of kills and kill-assists will be displayed.
2. Spectator and Shooting mode, what are they?
2.1 Spectator mode is available in two cases:
- on online games upon death, or
- in custom games when not assigned to any team
You can switch between players, or use the free flight camera. 2.2 You can select a capture mode by clicking on the camera icon in the top left corner where all interface overlays will disappear. This is good for using 3rd-party screen recording applications to capture clean shots for your video, or take beautiful snapshots.
3. What does a helicopter do?
A helicopter has a few important functions in combat:
- The most basic is to spot (detect) your enemies. By launching a helicopter you increase your RADAR range so you can spot enemies that are farther away. You can also take a helicopter and fly it towards the enemy to spot them first. This will give you and your team a huge advantage in combat.
- You can leave your ship behind and attempt to use the helicopter to deal damage to the enemy. The bot will take command of your ship, attacking any enemies it encounters during your flight as a helicopter pilot.
- Helicopters are designed to shoot down enemy aircrafts. Various weapons are in place, such as cannons and/or air-to-air missiles.
4. How do I land a helicopter onto a ship?
Landing helicopters back on the ship's deck is not possible.
5. How do I land a squadron of aircraft on the deck of an aircraft carrier?
As with helicopters, this is also not possible. It is, however, possible to make them return to the aircraft carriers in an unattended manner, by clicking the 'Return to Ship' button on the top right of the in-battle HUD.
6. How do I get away from being spotted?
To escape from a being spotted, you must do either one of these things:
- move behind an obstacle to avoid being in direct line of sight
- move your ship so that there are no ships within your ship's detection range
7. How do I know if I've been spotted?
- When you're detected, a 'detection indicator' flashes.
- The indicator differs according to which type of enemy has you in sight.
- Conversely, it disappears when you are no longer in the line of sight.
8. How do I dive and surface when using a submarine?
While in a battle, press the dive/surface button once (!) and wait for your ship to dive or surface.
9. Why can't I dive in a submarine after forced surfacing?
- This happens when your oxygen level drops below the critical threshold.
- When that happens, you need to completely replenish your oxygen before diving again.
- Good submarine captains resurface and replenish the air supply before reaching the critical level.
10. How do I counter torpedoes?
10.1 Torpedoes can be destroyed by using multiple rocket launchers, i.e. grenade launchers. Not all grenade launchers are designed to counter torpedoes, so read the descriptions carefully before equipping one to your ship. 10.2 It is also possible to attempt to maneuver and dodge torpedoes on a surface ship. On submarines you can try to avoid being hit by a torpedo by surfacing or submerging the submarine just before the torpedo hits the boat. An important condition for maneuvering is that your speed must be high enough. On slow ships, such evasive maneuvers are not possible. 10.3 You can also use Torpedo Countermeasures to avoid torpedoes. These consumables are only available for submarines, as they are not capable of equipping grenade launchers or helicopters like surface ships.
11. How to locate a submarine that is submerged?
11.1 The easiest way to detect an enemy submarine is by using another submarine. 11.2 A submarine can also be detected by helicopters. You must fly over the submarine in close proximity for the helicopter’s SONAR to detect the submarine.
12. Why are aircrafts able to fly off the map?
This is done intentionally, so that the player can maneuver and turn around. Otherwise your aircraft would be destroyed on the map edge.
13. What is the difference between fighters and strike fighters?
Strike fighters are for countering surface targets, while fighters are for countering aerial targets.
14. How do I change armament on a helicopter/aircraft?
You cannot change armaments on sub-units such as aircrafts, helicopters or unmanned vessels. These sub-units' weapons are all fixed.
15. Why do I need an air defense system on a ship?
Air defenses on ships are designed to counter enemy missiles and aircrafts. They add additional protection to your ship, effectively increasing its survivability in combat. Air defenses are designed to do some tasks better than others - some are good at repelling missile attacks, while others work against aircraft. Combined air defenses are best, if your ship allows it.
16. How do I reload aircrafts in battle?
Aircraft reloading can only be done when playing on an aircraft carrier. To do this, fly directly over the deck. After flying over, the recharge will consule 'Reload Points'. Reload points replenish themselves over time, so choose wisely what and when to replenish. The stronger your aerial unit, the more reload points it will consume. Each aircraft carrier has different amount of reload points, which is also a key factor in balancing out such ships.
17. How do I reload unmanned vessels in battle?
Unmanned vessels reloading can only be done when playing on an assault landing ship. Fly to the reload zone, or click the Return to Ship button on the top right of the HUD. Reloading an unmanned vessel requires time. They return to the ship, go to the loading dock to repair and replenish ammo, and only then is it made ready again for combat.
